Read All About It: Super Bowl Contest Winners

Ms. Micala Orpheus, the school’s reading specialist, won The Third Annual Super Bowl Contest held by The Panther Press after selecting the Kansas Chiefs to beat the San Fransisco 49ers by a score of 26-22 – just one point off the final count of 25-22.  In all 95 entries were received with 54 percent selecting the 49ers; at one point, the 49ers were the choice at a 60-percent clip until late entries turned the tide a bit. All winners received Gansett gift cards again this year.

Juliette Levesque selected the Chiefs by 27-22, finishing second overall and earning the honor of the student winner. She also receives a $20 gift card: $15 for finishing second and $5 for proving the student winner. Mr. White in the World Languages Department and Ms. Halle in the Student Center tied for third as each had the same point total while also being just one point off in the margin of victory. Each received a $10 gift card.

Four random winners were also selected: Christopher Brown, Dariana Hernandez, Ava Lyons, and Tyler Storrs. Each will receive a $10 gift card. Student winners will receive their gift cards in English classes.

Did you miss out? No worries – The Final Four is April 6 and 8, so we will hold another contest the week prior. Thanks to all those who played and all those who support The Panther Press.
