No Spoiler Reader Reaction: Save The Cat!

Sophia Caneira, Staff Writer

Book/Author: Save the Cat! by Blake Snyder

Genre/Subject: Non-fiction

Pages: 195

Stars (1-5 with 5! as the highest recommendation): 5!

Challenging Read: The book is directed at an older audience, but I was still able to read it.

What I liked: I really enjoyed reading this book because screenwriting is a big interest of mine. If you are a person who likes learning about different types of writing to experiment with, this may be a good choice for you. I’m generally not a big fan of nonfiction writing, but the author makes the book fun and entertaining with a number of movie references along the way.

What could have been better: As a person who is only beginning to explore the art of screenwriting, I would have liked to know a little bit more about the actual format/structure of a screenplay, but nevertheless I enjoyed reading this book–it has become one of my favorites!

Recommend: Only if this was their favorite genre
