Challenging Read: For the most part you can follow Jane Austen’s flowery language, but there a good amount of sentences that can be confusing.

What I liked: I liked that it is differently written than books nowadays, and that the plot (although not unique to Jane Austen) was full of tiny twists and witty humor. It wasn’t an old, boring book at all, but full of windows into the Victorian era and a very sweet romance. The lesson and theme of the book are very well tied into the entire story. Plus after you read it, you can watch the movies with a deeper insight. (The books are always better, though.)

What could have been better: If there was a glossary at the end of the book that explained all the challenging words and Victorian era language, it would have helped.

Recommend: Definitely
