The Dark Side of the Moon
by Abigail Levine, Class of 2022
The stars shine so bright,
Spreading broadly across the sky,
Lighting up the whole world at night,
Watching as the clouds drift by.
The moon will never descend,
Shining everlasting light,
Brightly as able with a small crescent,
But big enough to battle night.
The sun and sky should ever lust,
The night’s beauty is scarce,
But until day comes before us,
Never present are our abundant cares.
But the dark can only give so much light,
And I question my love for this endless night.
