Butterfly
I was causally washing the dishes one
Afternoon when all of the sudden I saw
A beautiful butterfly that flew right by
Our shattered glass window in the kitchen,
Seeing the butterfly made me feel
Safe because I knew that it was you,
Who was watching over me and I
Knew that you that you were flying
Around the backyard because that
Was your way of showing me that you
Are the one who has been protecting
Me this whole entire depressing year
Parrot
As we were wrapping up our phone call
You told me I was acting like a parrot
After you called me a parrot you told me
That you were just trying to make a joke
I know that you you were just trying to
Make a joke but the joke was not funny
I hope one day that we all need to rethink
Before we try to hurt each others feelings
As a society we should try to love each other
Instead of becoming enemies with one another
Life Changing Moments
There are current moments that
Happen in my life that I would love
To forget but I know that I will never
Forget the life changing moments that
Happens to me and I know it happens
For a good reason and not a bad reason,
If there is one thing that I have learned
Is to give yourself a little bit of grace
Because no matter what happens to you
At the end of the day you will be alright.
Plastic Bubble
I get so many ignorant comments
Thrown at me on a regular basis and,
Sometimes it is difficult for me to
Catch all the comments in a glass jar
When I feel insecure I try to picture a
Plastic bubble that is surrounding me
Trying to protect me from the bad part
Of the world that we currently all live in
The one thing that I wish for is for all of
Us to act delicate towards one and another.
